How do you like to spend your free time outside of the office? Hobbies? I have a passion for the game of hockey. My husband and I will travel to various arenas for the love of the game.  Our goal is to visit every NHL arena and we are off to a good start! Also enjoy spending time at our family cabin outside of Gaylord, MI enjoying the outdoors. I relax with reading a good novel from time-to-time.

Have you ever been outside of the country? Where is the furthest you have traveled? I have traveled extensively outside the United States mostly in Europe with the furthest destination being East Africa. We helped build a library in a school within a refugee camp and are planning a return visit soon.

What athletic team and/or sport do you enjoy watching most?  Obviously it’s
hockey.  We have followed the Fort Wayne Komets for 27 years as season-ticket holders and advertising supporters. I also follow the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings of the NHL.  Very excited to have Trine for both women’s and men’s hockey at the collegiate level in our community in which I also support.

How do you remain current/relevant within your profession?   I believe in the
Independent Agent model which allows flexibility within our agency to fit product with need.  I currently serve on the Independent Insurance Agents Board of Directors which opens up opportunities by networking with fellow agents to gain a better understanding of the market and market direction. Each company we represent affords educational opportunities to its agents of which we are eager and encouraged to participate. I attend the Legislative Conference in Washington, DC annually coming away with a better understanding of government and how it works pertaining to our industry.
