Customer Service Representative/Licensed Personal Lines Agent

Jacob Insurance Service LLC, a family oriented long-term Steuben County insurance agency is seeking to hire a detailed, dedicated, and energetic customer service-oriented individual.

Position: Immediate: Office Support  / Eventual: Property & Casualty Licensed Agent
Start Date: Immediate
Hours Per Week: 40 hours (Full-time position) 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday
Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma

Job Requirements:
• Computer skills & computer knowledge are a must
• Customer service experience is required
• Ability to pass a pre-screening/background check
• After probationary period: Required to obtain property & casualty licensing consisting of 40 hours classroom study along with passing the licensing exam. (Paid for by Jacob Insurance Service)
• Must pass a background check

Job Duties:
• In-office and telephone customer service
• Office support as needed
• Review personal lines insurance renewals
• Accepting customer payments in person & over the phone
• Once licensed - quote and issue homeowners, automobile, and umbrella policies
• Once licensed - endorse current policies upon request of the customer

Employee Benefits:
• Wage Range: $38,000-$45,000
